Muqtalif, which means different is formed by three very different people who have found a way to remember some musicians and songs that mustn’t gather dust on the pages! These are songs that are meant to celebrate the heartaches and the bad decisions and the glorious mistakes that now can’t be unmade. Life in its entire package includes colours of gloom that are either kept inside old diaries or stacked above old furniture in the attic, it is their attempt to clean the dust off the old diary and feel the now yellowed pages and smell the air that once was new. Shreyas plays the tabla, Dheeraj Bannerjea plays the classical guitar and Aparupa the singer, aiming to draw some simple triangles in the current performance spaces that have far discovered Polygons and conic sections!

The Endless Mind - Fri, 17th Nov'23

'The Endless Mind’ is an abstract dance and musical exploration of one of Annamacharya's 15th-century poems - ‘kadal udipi neeradaga...’ (You say you want to bathe when the waves subside/Is there an end to the endless mind). Choreographed by Aranyani Bhargav and danced by 5 Vyuti dancers including her, this 50-minute work depicts the narrative of the poetry through the abstraction and deconstruction within Bharatanatyam.
