Ghazal Wali Diary - Sat, 18th Nov'23

Muqtalif, which means different is formed by three very different people who have found a way to remember some musicians and songs that mustn’t gather dust on the pages! These are songs that are meant to celebrate the heartaches and the bad decisions and the glorious mistakes that now can’t be unmade. Life in its entire package includes colours of gloom that are either kept inside old diaries or stacked above old furniture in the attic, it is their attempt to clean the dust off the old diary and feel the now yellowed pages and smell the air that once was new. Shreyas plays the tabla, Dheeraj Bannerjea plays the classical guitar and Aparupa the singer, aiming to draw some simple triangles in the current performance spaces that have far discovered Polygons and conic sections!

Sapthak - Classical filmy fusion concert - Sat, 18th Nov'23

Weaving Voice presents a unplugged energized soothing musical concert which is just around the corner. This concert is a fine blend of classical, carnatic, filmy fusion, light music, medley a lot more and also sharing the knowledge of raagas with audience. Highlight of the show is, for one particular song interested audience can join the performance.

Retro Eve With Bashir Sheikh - Sat, 18th Nov'23

Those of you who were in their teens and twenties back in the late nineteen sixties and the seventies will recall “The Savages” the most happening and popular Indian western music band of that era. Its founding member Bashir Sheikh, drummer, singer, songwriter and composer, is performing at “Muzigal HRBR” to a select gathering of sixty Pax. Book your ticket to immerse yourself in Retro numbers from the Beatles, Elvis, Rolling Stones and more. As a solo artist, Bashir has several albums to his credit; three Christmas albums, two children's albums and the first album to feature songs of the film Qurbani in English, sung by him and Sharon Prabhakar.

Ronan Keating Live in Bengaluru - Sat, 18th Nov'23

The Endless Mind - Fri, 17th Nov'23

'The Endless Mind’ is an abstract dance and musical exploration of one of Annamacharya's 15th-century poems - ‘kadal udipi neeradaga...’ (You say you want to bathe when the waves subside/Is there an end to the endless mind). Choreographed by Aranyani Bhargav and danced by 5 Vyuti dancers including her, this 50-minute work depicts the narrative of the poetry through the abstraction and deconstruction within Bharatanatyam.

Canvas Dance Festival 2023 - Sun, 19th Nov'23 & Sun, 26th Nov'23

Canvas Dance Festival is organized by Abstratics held annually in Bengaluru, India. Canvas Dance Festival is a platform for emerging artists to explore, create and present their ideas with zeal to capture the essence of creativity. With each edition of Canvas Dance Festival, they strive to provide a stage that calls out for young, free spirited artists to come together and paint the atmosphere with their colors of ideation, expression and passionate moves. With a dance festival like CANVAS we hope to create ripples of newness and vibrancy in their spirit to expand movement language, communicate choreographic ideas and challenge their creativity like never before. Canvas Dance Festival highlights the richness of the Indian Classical and Contemporary Dance with performances by some of the emerging artists in the field. On a beautiful sunday evening, let's get on to a story carpet and travel on a 60 minute journey through stories of Food, People, Animals, Birds and Trees. With stories from folktales, mythology, history and oral narratives, when the carpet lands back in the children's world, the kids and parents will be left with loads of laughter, smiles and happiness. The session is for kids 4+ and families/parents etc. The performance by Vikram Sridhar will entertain and take the children on a travel knowing about our rich flora and fauna, from animals to birds to plants and trees across India.

This fun workshop will include making the potting mix, preparing the container, selecting the right container for the right plant and planting it. They will provide the plants. Just bring your imagination and enthu.

The play Rabdi revolves around Saavantri and her mentally retarded child. Dreams of a better future for her child remain unfulfilled, yet Saavantri does not lose hope. She offers to become a surrogate mother for an IT couple in return for money to enroll her child to a special school. RABDI deals with motherhood, love, aspirations and priorities individuals make in their lives, touching upon major societal issues, solutions and trading of human emotions for personal benefits. Will Saavantri be able to give up 'her' second child or does her motherly love come in the way….???

The F Word - Fri, 17th Nov'23 & Sat, 18th Nov'23

Akvarious Productions presents The F Word written and directed by Akarsh Khurana. Aadyam Theatre, an Aditya Birla Group initiative, is back in Bengaluru with its final production of the 6th season, 'The F Word' at Ranga Shankara. This satirical yet stimulating tale explores the intricacies of a dysfunctional family, their untold personal affairs and the bittersweet dynamics that shape their identities.

Constellations by Nick Payne - Fri, 17th Nov'23 - Sat, 18th Nov'23

Last Page Collective is back with another Queer Adaptation of Constellations by Nick Payne. One relationship. Infinite possibilities. In the beginning Marianne and Rowan meet at a party. They go for a drink, or perhaps they don't. They fall madly in love and start dating, but eventually they break up. After a chance encounter in a supermarket they get back together, or maybe they run into each other and Marianne reveals that she's now engaged to someone else and that's that. Or perhaps Rowan is engaged. Maybe they get married, or maybe their time together will be tragically short. Ishtihaar attempts to bring different flavours of Saadat Hasan Manto and bring his favourite characters to life through the art of storytelling.
